homeless, pregant and not single

Hi. Me and my gf just found out she is a month pregant. I just lost my temporary job and was kicked out of where we were staying. Now were homeless with no one to turn too. we tried to get foodstamps but she was turned down for making 20 dollars too much. All her money go"s to her car and with out that.. Were doomed. I tried looking into the section 8 program but from what I see, they only help single mothers. Can anyone help us with Some info or advice? or maybe some temp shelter till we find out what to do? Please...

 in response to winterlyn...   We told welfare that were homeless and she is pregant and also told them about her income. Even brought paystubs but they told her she makes too much and that they have to cancel her application. Thanks for the help

welfare does have income limits but if they know your homeless n shes pregnant can help.go tothe housing dept in welfare n talk to them.be honest, tel them u have income, low income, n u just need help finding a place u cam afford.they usually give u the sec. deposit....as for sec 8, as long as your low income they help. the only bad thing is, there is usually a long waiting list that your put on.good luck, i hope this helps!!!
